The artist Isabelle Faucher now living in Southern France is casting a limited edition of this sculpture of a German Shorthaired Pointer, for those who appreciate both fine art and these fine dogs.

The sculpture was prepared using the traditional ‘lost-wax’ method and each piece is cast in solid bronze (not to be confused with ‘cold-cast bronze’, which is mostly resin!). A limited edition of no more than 20 will be cast, each numbered and signed by the artist. Please allow 10-14 days from receipt of your order for your sculpture to be cast.

About the artist
Isabelle Faucher was born in Canada where she grew up to love both wild creatures and their domestic relatives. She has exhibited her work in North America and, more recently, in West Africa – where, in parallel with her art, she worked as a wildlife biologist. Her paintings and sculptures reflect both her passion for animals, plants, the environment – and her understanding of their complex interactions.
Her works are in private collections throughout the world -
including Asia, the USA and Canada, Europe and Australia.
Isabelle learnt the craft of lost-wax casting from an artist of the Bwaba people in Burkina Faso, on the southern edge of the Sahara desert. "In that harsh environment, you really come to appreciate the value of life and art" she says. Isabelle Faucher was born in Canada where she grew up to love both wild creatures and their domestic relatives. She became a full-time artist after having a successful career in wildlife biology. Her paintings and sculptures reflect her life-long passion for animals.

Isabelle lived in Devon for about three years where her beloved GSP Bruce, whom she met, of course, through the GSP Rescue Service (South West) became a member of her family. She has now moved to Southern France and is enjoying the beauty of the countryside, and the gorgeous weather down there
