Below is a link of the various German Short-haired Pointers that currently are looking to be rehomed for various reasons - Rescue SW is currently being organised by Sarah Hadley whilst I have a rest and have to undergo some chemotherapy... - we sometimes import Gsp’s from Eire - these need to find a new home over here before they start their trip but we know little about these dogs as mostly they are found abandoned and taken to the Pound at Dublin which is a kill centre - we have some folk over there who check the Pound twice a week and extract dogs that they think they can save - they let us know when a Gsp is found in there - 95% of the problems are on the human side - generally these dogs are pretty good - nice tempered - and clean ........If you would like to be considered to adopt a Gsp from Gsp Rescue SW - and if you haven’t already done so - please read how Gsp Rescue SW works - and go to the adoption submitable form and tell Sarah about yourself, your experiences with GSP’s , your environment, where you live, what other animals you have etc., and what your household working hours are (ie: How long will the dog be left at any one time)

Rescueing Gsp’s in the South of Spain...
We are a small, privately run rescue shelter for abandoned dogs in the South of Spain. We get numerous pointers coming through our doors and seem to struggle homing them locally here. As we have a "non euthanasia" policy at our shelter we are looking for ways in which to broaden the homing possibilities of these lovely dogs. If we were to prepare three or four dogs per year for travel to the UK do you think that you would be able to help us to look for homes for them? We would undertake to carry out all the necessary paperwork for dogs to travel to the UK, neuter all dogs and blood test them for Leishmania (sandfly disease). No dog carrying Leishmania would be sent to the UK. We transport the dogs ourselves to the UK and all we ask from the adoptive family is a minimum donation of 150 Euros, obviously if they offer more we are happy to take it! ... Do you think you could help us with finding homes for three or so dogs? Kind Regards Valerie PAWS Shelter Manager
