Dogs of the Month
Murphy... your Dog of The Month!
Just a couple of photos, but enough to introduce him!! We lost our much-loved GSP, Murphy in the Summer last year. We had fourteen wonderful years, sharing his faithful, intelligent, loving life. We were devastated when we lost him, and not just us!! He had such a wonderful nature, family and friends alike all felt that they owned just a little bit of Murphy.....he was such a wonderful dog.
When we lost him, we moved out to Cyprus, and spent some months out there.....but we missed having a dog so much. After much thought, and careful consideration........we came home with Merlin. I have to say, he is a joy to be with! A typical Pointer....boundless energy, and completely loopy! Wonderful! He came along at the right time. He fixed a few broken hearts, and he's melted a whole lot more!! We are looking forward to many happy years spent in his company!

Here are three pictures of my wonderful GSP - Buddy. He came to me through Sue at pointer rescue in Chichester. I understand his previous owner was imprisoned for GBH and possibly aggravated burglary (Sue knows more than I) and Buddy had a hellish five years of life before he came into Rescue.
At the start of the New Year I found out that Buddy had two unrepairable herniated discs in his neck. On January 9th 2007 I took the very difficult decision to put Buddy to sleep, which we did surrounded in love, at home. He had just had his 8th birthday.
We had three wonderful years together and although he never really recovered physically from those previous years of abuse and bad diet, he never complained about his pain. He became a huge favourite of all the dog walkers and children up on the South Downs where we walked daily and I am still getting text messages and calls from people I don't know, paying their respects to this wonderful dog.
I wonder if he could be your next Dog of the Month as this would make me feel he has the elevation he deserved.
Other than being fantastic for Asha (my daughter) and me and Sue at Chichester, I can direct all Buddy's fans to your website.
Just a thought from a grieving owner.

Thought you may be interested in one of the GSP's I bred, 'Waldecke Jasper' who was gifted into Dorset Police when his family emigrated. He is a drug sniffer dog and they say he is the best in the business!

Since having Jasper the police have approached me for three more GSP's, one of which is about to join up in October 2005 when he is 8 months.
Waldecke Jasper is by Waldburg Rommel at Waldecke out of Waldecke Ballymacad
I also have one doing Lowland Search and Rescue 'Waldecke Morello' who saved a womans life when she took an overdose and was unconcious in some woodland unable to be found
Below is Waldecke Morello (Sam) with his Handler
Waldecke Morello is by Waldburg Rommel at Waldecke out of Waldecke Haren Scarem
If you can help find a new home for any Gsp coming into Rescue - please let me know either on email to pointerman@lineone.net or telephone (01395) 568259
