The ‘Dewdavion’ Gsp family is located in the South West of England, near the city of Exeter. I’ve been in Gsp’s since 1975 with my first dog ‘Birkenwald Yrry’ - After many years, I still retain the good temperament and good looks that I started with (the dog’s that is!) - and currently I ‘Merlin’ (aged seven)and Misty (aged 2 1/2 years) ... Merlin’s brother ‘Quartz’ lives near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and he’s a daddy too.......
Another of my Gsp’s - ‘Dewdavion Rhoda’ emigrated to Australia in 1983 in whelp to ‘Jumbo vom Bugelhof’ - where she had 8 puppies in quarantine. - The puppies and Rhoda appear in Georgina Byrne’s ‘Der Kurzhaar’ - definitive book on the Gsp. which is sold for the Gsp Rescue Funds when I can obtain copies - (Anyone with ‘used’ unwanted DK books?) - see sales page as I have the new soft covered version available (2006) The ‘Dewdavion’ strain are good working dogs - ... some of the tribe are pictured below: If you wish to contact me - email pointerman@lineone.net

...out of this mating came baby Murphy ‘ Dewdavion Devon Dimpsy’ - .
In 1998, Mallow was put to KS Dolf vom Wittekind - a Ger. Import - and she producted 8 whelps - Merlin who you can see here working the hedges; on point, and over the five-bar gate - a delightful entire male. He has had this entire seasons experience on Partridge & Pheasant 2001/2002 - He works extremely well and regularly brings pheasant and other unmentionables to hand. - Now has learned to quarter perfectly - stays within ear shot and has a fantastic point (see pix below) . With the German father, he has 83 Field Trial (KS) Champions in 7 generations on his pedigree. and already qualified for Crufts 2002 (as Murphy had too - pictured right). ......

...and finally there’s Mole ... she has never been bred from as her litter were affected with entropia - which she didn’t contract, but to protect the breed, I decided not to use her for breeding. She was diagnosed as having Diabetes Mellitus in the end of May 2003 - and was on an insulin jab. once a day - Unfortunately her body gave up the ghost on July 18th 2003 after going into a coma - she joins Wuzzle, Penny and Jess in the garden - Bye bye lovely old Mole. ...
